Actually, it says "Save target as," but it seems to be downloading now. You're probably right about the browser. My machine's 11 years old running Windows 2000, everybody else on the net says they're not supporting my archaic IE6 anymore, and I can't afford to upgrade. Thanks for the tip!

Different browsers naturally say different things. Opera, which I usually use, says "Save linked content as..."; Firefox says "Save link as...".

If you search through all of your browser's preferences, options, or settings you will probably find a way to make it offer you the chance to save the file when you left-click. However, it's hardly worth the effort.

Strangely, my machine doesn't allow multiple downloads anymore, but the right click works, and I have time. I'm too much of a computard to fiddle with the setting and expect this old beast to work right, so I'm just gonna be grateful for what I have! Thanks again for the help.

Opera is a great browser, if you ever want to give it a try. I have used it since it was shareware (I was one of their paying customers several years ago) but it's free now, very fast, customizable, and light on resources.

I was a computard 20 years ago, but play around and get drafted into fixing your spouse's, friends and family's computer problems often enough, and you tend to learn fast, lol. ;)
